Work Ready Community

Russell County was one of the first Kentucky counties to be certified by the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board as a “Kentucky Work Ready Community In Progress," as part of Gov. Steve Beshear's Work Ready Communities program. This certification assures employers the local workforce has the talent and skills necessary to staff existing jobs and to master innovative technologies that new jobs will require.
